The New ITTA - Forward Together
Thursday, 2nd of November 2023
3:00pm - 5:00pm
Monash’s IT Student Teams are pulling together to form a new governing body, the IT Teams Association (ITTA).
In its first meeting on 2 November—chaired by William Chen from MATT—the ITTA agreed to become a collaborative facilitator between Teams.
The ITTA will develop systems of accountability through shared policies and guidelines.
It aims to maintain a circuit of communication with IT Student Clubs and Societies for future large-scale event planning and cooperation.
Membership of the ITTA will be comprised of an equal number of representatives from each IT Student Team, along with contacts in Faculty.
Core membership will be kept small to streamline communication of objectives.
As Student Teams carve a path for students to get hands-on technical experience with meaningful research projects early in candidature, it is important for all IT Teams to share resources and cooperate as representatives of the Faculty of IT.
The ITTA is now in its initial 6-month trial period, and will continue to work on the cohesion and cooperation of Monash’s IT Student Teams.
